Our Mission
To lead ecological and societal transformation promoting the value of restoring and protecting seagrass ecosystems in Hong Kong for human wellbeing and to actively seek to reduce carbon dioxide in the local environment.
HKSRA links the common interests of different sectors
aiming to enhance the resilience and recovery of seagrass meadows in Hong Kong.
Our work integrates innovative and effective conservation and restoration actions supported by cutting-edge research and the collaboration of local communities and other stakeholders. As part of this collaborative effort we aim to achieve:

Our Five Goals
To promote the regeneration of seagrass meadows in Hong Kong through replanting and restoration
To enable the ecological enhancement of our coastal marine environments
To plan, organise, participate and carry out activities that actively seek to reduce carbon dioxide in the local environment
To carry out activities to improve ecologically sensitive habitats
To educate the Hong Kong local community on the benefits and services provided by seagrass meadows
